Amazon Web Services has pledged $6 billion to develop a new data center campus in Shreveport, expanding its Louisiana buildout and bringing its total commitment to data center development in the state to $18 billion across three campuses.
The new project adds Shreveport to AWS’ previously announced plans in northwest Louisiana. In February 2026, AWS said it would spend $12 billion on data center campuses in Louisiana, including a multi-site buildout across Caddo and Bossier Parishes. That effort has now been expanded to include a third location in Shreveport.
The Shreveport project, like the campuses in Caddo and Bossier, will be led by Stack Infrastructure. The campus is planned for the Resilient Technology Park, a 313-acre industrial park next to Interstate 20 in west Shreveport.
AWS has not shared details on the site’s expected IT or power capacity, nor has it disclosed how many data center buildings are planned for the campus.

"Amazon’s decision to increase its investment in Louisiana so quickly sends a clear message about what they have experienced here", Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry said.
"When one of the world’s largest companies chooses to deepen its commitment this early, it demonstrates confidence in our workers, our business environment, and our ability to execute. Amazon came to our state with an ambitious vision, and Louisiana has shown we can deliver at the scale and speed that vision demands."
Keith Klein, Amazon's director of data center supply solutions, said the expanded spending would increase regional employment and business opportunities.
"When we announced our investment in northwest Louisiana earlier this year, we made a promise: Amazon pays its own way, and the communities where we operate will be better off because we’re there", added Amazon's director of data center supply solutions, Keith Klein. "Increasing our planned investment to $18 billion means more good jobs for the region and more opportunities for local businesses. We’re continuing to protect ratepayers and strengthen this community for the long term."
According to the announcement, AWS will fund all water and wastewater improvements required by the projects. The company is also working with Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) to fully fund the new energy infrastructure and grid upgrades required.
The latest Louisiana commitment comes as Amazon said during its recent earnings call that it expected capex for this fiscal year to reach $220bn, up from previous estimates of $200bn, which the company attributed to the "higher cost of memory."
