Amteck has moved its Charleston electrical contracting team into a larger facility on Palmetto Commerce Parkway, expanding its capacity to meet growing client demand across South Carolina’s Lowcountry.

The relocation comes as construction and service needs increase in healthcare, manufacturing, higher education and mission-critical sectors. The company expects the facility’s more central position within its service area to help employees respond more efficiently to clients throughout the greater Charleston region.

An October 22, 2026, ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening. Government officials, clients, suppliers, industry representatives and employees attended, along with representatives from the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Supporting construction and ongoing service

The larger facility builds on Amteck’s existing Charleston operation and provides a base for further regional growth.

Amteck operates through four core divisions: design-build, electrical service, technologies and life safety. It serves commercial, industrial and mission-critical markets, with work spanning initial construction, maintenance and ongoing operational support.

The Charleston expansion is intended to support clients whose facilities rely on dependable electrical systems and timely technical assistance, particularly in healthcare, manufacturing, higher education and mission-critical environments.

Local workforce development is also a company priority. Amteck expects the expanded operation to support opportunities for employees to develop long-term careers in the region.

The company did not disclose the facility’s size, investment value or employee capacity.
