MT Group wins Brunsbüttel LNG terminal contract

MT Group has secured a major construction contract from the Cobra IS/Sener consortium for work on the German LNG terminal in Brunsbüttel, with project completion scheduled for 2027.

The contract covers the implementation of balance of plant infrastructure at the terminal. According to the source article, it is one of MT Group’s largest projects in Germany to date and adds to the company’s presence in what it described as one of Europe’s most important energy infrastructure markets.

The terminal is being developed by German LNG Terminal GmbH and delivered by the Cobra IS/Sener consortium. The project is described as a landmark energy infrastructure development for Germany and is intended to strengthen German and European energy security.

The facility is designed with an initial regasification capacity of up to 10 billion m3/y of natural gas.
