Promera has acquired Formula Facilities Services Ltd. and Critical Area Cleaning Ltd., extending its data center services platform across the United Kingdom and Ireland as it continues its international expansion into Europe.
The company, backed by Angeles Equity Partners, said the two businesses add complementary contamination-control services covering data center construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
The deals come as hyperscale operators continue investing in AI and cloud infrastructure across Europe and other international markets. Promera said the additions of Formula and Critical Area Cleaning, or CAC, expand its ability to support customers through the full data center lifecycle.
Formula focuses on contamination-control and critical-environment maintenance services for operational data centers and has long-term relationships with colocation providers and facility-management customers. CAC provides specialized contamination-control services before and after the construction of new data center facilities, working with Tier 1 general contractors across hyperscale and colocation construction sites, with a focus on white-space maintenance and contamination control.
Together, the two companies establish Promera’s operating platform in the UK and Ireland. The expansion follows Promera’s acquisition of Data Clean Asia in Singapore, a move that broadened its presence into Asia. With Formula and CAC now added, Promera said it has regional capabilities across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Promera said the broader footprint is intended to help serve customers whose infrastructure spans multiple international markets. The company also pointed to rising demand for contamination control as data centers become larger and more densely packed with computing equipment, an issue it said has become more relevant as AI infrastructure drives higher computing densities and more complex data center environments.

Promera also appointed Jim Harding as Managing Director, International. He will lead the company’s international operations and oversee additional growth across Europe and Asia. Harding has served on Promera’s Board of Directors for approximately 18 months and has more than 25 years of leadership experience across data centers, digital infrastructure, and commercial real estate.
He most recently was Managing Director for Europe at Colovore, where he led the company’s entry into the European market. Before that, he spent approximately a decade at CBRE and ultimately served as Global President of Data Center Solutions, leading a global data center facilities services business that supported critical-environment operations across more than 700 facilities in 50 countries.

Formula owner and Managing Director Martin Glennon and CAC owner and Business Development Director Jack Rowley will join Promera after the acquisitions. Both will continue leading their respective operations and report to Harding.

Promera provides technical services across the data center facility lifecycle, including contamination control, critical-environment maintenance, white-space fit-out, and airflow management. The company said it has more than 45 years of experience supporting digital infrastructure environments.
Alston & Bird served as legal counsel to Promera on the transactions, and Portman Partners served as Promera’s buy-side advisor on the Formula acquisition.
