Brightray Science Inc. is targeting delivery of a 10 MW AI data center in Indiana within one year after signing a letter of intent (LOI) for its first project in the US data center market.
The company, a subsidiary of BUUU Group Limited, signed the LOI with an unnamed US-based mission-critical infrastructure partner, according to a press release. The project remains subject to final agreement on technical specifications, commercial terms, the project schedule, and definitive contract documentation.
Brightray plans to use a prefabricated data center solution. Its one-year delivery target covers design finalization, permitting, international shipping, on-site works, installation, and commissioning.
Bin Wang, Brightray founder, said substantial demand in the US data center market is putting pressure on customers to turn AI investments into usable computing power quickly. He explained that prefabrication shifts more work to the factory, allowing manufacturing and on-site works to proceed in parallel to shorten delivery.
The company aims to address the power, cooling, and space requirements of next-generation AI equipment through the project.
The Indiana development could provide a blueprint for Brightray's further US expansion. Arizton Advisory & Intelligence projects that the US data center market will reach US$494.49 billion by 2031.
