Conti Federal Services LLC has won a $109.9 million contract to build an MC-130J aircraft hangar and aircraft maintenance unit at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, adding infrastructure for the installation’s expanding special operations capabilities.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Los Angeles District awarded the firm-fixed-price contract. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2029.
The project centers on a two-bay aircraft hangar with maintenance space and an aircraft maintenance unit containing administrative areas, maintenance shops and other support spaces. It also includes a fleet service terminal, covered storage, and improvements to aircraft apron and airfield pavement.
The facilities will support MC-130J operations and maintenance as part of Davis-Monthan’s ongoing expansion and modernization of special operations capabilities. The infrastructure is designed around the specialized requirements of the aircraft and its mission.
"We understand the importance of delivering the right infrastructure to support the Air Force’s special operations mission", said Carina Branch, Business Development Lead at Conti Federal. "We will bring our experience and lessons learned from similar projects to support this mission. We are proud to partner with USACE and the Air Force on a facility that will play an important role in supporting the mission at Davis-Monthan."
The company also highlighted its commitment to the project:

At Davis-Monthan, the new facility will provide dedicated space to maintain and operate MC-130J aircraft in support of the Air Force’s special operations mission.
