Digital Realty has officially begun construction on its latest data center, PAR15, located in Dugny, a suburb northeast of Paris, France. The new facility is part of the company’s broader expansion strategy in France and Europe.
The three-story PAR15 data center will be built on a site that was previously occupied by the French Air Force and has been vacant since 2011. The facility will span 23,320 square meters (251,014 square feet) and provide an IT capacity of 66 megawatts (MW) upon full completion. Construction began in December 2025 and will be carried out in four phases. The first phase, offering 12MW of IT capacity, is targeted for completion in 2027.
At full build-out, the site, known as the Dugny Digital Hub, will house three data centers - PAR15, PAR16, and PAR17 - together providing more than 65,000 square meters (699,654 square feet) of IT space and a total of 176MW of IT capacity.
Digital Realty has appointed Equans Data Centers, a subsidiary of the Bouygues group, as the general contractor for the PAR15 project. The company brings extensive expertise in designing, constructing, and commissioning data centers, having delivered 340,000 square meters (3.6 million square feet) of data hall space and more than 790MW of IT capacity to date.
David Montrieux, Regional Construction Director at Digital Realty, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating: "PAR15 is a key milestone in our continued expansion in France, and selecting Equans Data Centers as strategic general contractor reflects their strong track record in delivering complex, mission-critical facilities. Their ability to lead an experienced consortium and execute with a clear focus on safety, quality, and sustainability will be instrumental as we bring this new capacity online for our customers."
Equans Data Centers also expressed their pride in contributing to this project. Xavier Perdereau, EVP of Equans Data Centers, commented: "We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Digital Realty in France. The proposed build-to-suit development in Dugny represents a significant milestone in Digital Realty’s European expansion and market share growth for its IT service clients. Equans Data Centers is thrilled to support this strategic initiative by delivering a high-performance, future-ready facility that meets the evolving needs of the digital economy."
Digital Realty currently operates approximately a dozen data centers across Paris. The Dugny Digital Hub represents a significant addition to the company’s presence in the region, further solidifying its role in supporting the growing demands of the digital economy in France and beyond.
As construction progresses on PAR15, the collaboration between Digital Realty and Equans Data Centers is expected to exemplify high standards in safety, quality, and sustainability, ensuring the facility meets the needs of its clients and the wider market.
