Loenbro has acquired Prism Electric in what it described as the largest acquisition in the company’s history, adding about 2,500 employees and expanding its electrical services footprint across the Southern United States.
The deal brings Prism Electric, an electrical contractor founded in 1994 with a strong presence in Texas and Oklahoma, into Loenbro’s operations. Prism provides electrical construction services for healthcare, industrial, commercial and mission-critical projects.
Loenbro said the acquisition significantly increases its electrical capabilities, workforce and geographic reach. The company provides specialized services to data center, infrastructure and diversified industrial markets, and said the addition of Prism broadens its ability to support projects spanning data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, commercial construction and industrial infrastructure.
The transaction also deepens Loenbro’s presence in Southern markets where, according to the company, demand for electrical infrastructure is rising alongside data center development, manufacturing investment and broader infrastructure spending.
Prism’s leadership team is set to take on key operational leadership roles within Loenbro’s South Region as the companies move through continuity and integration efforts.
Prism will become part of a Loenbro platform that includes electrical, mechanical and structural services, soft crafts, inspection, underground maintenance and installation, and fabrication.
Loenbro said the acquisition is a major part of the growth strategy tied to its strategic partnership with middle-market private equity firm Kohlberg, which began in December 2025 to accelerate expansion.
"The acquisition of Prism Electric represents a transformational milestone for Loenbro and a significant step forward in our long-term growth strategy."
"We are excited to welcome Prism’s talented team to the Loenbro family and look forward to leveraging our complementary capabilities, expanded customer base, and broader geographic reach to create enhanced opportunities for employees, customers, and communities across the country."
Daniel Cowan, CEO of Loenbro
"This isn’t a change in direction for Prism. It’s the next step in our growth, and I’m excited about what we’ll accomplish together for our employees, customers, and communities."
Blake Combs, President of Prism Electric
