Lydian Energy has closed a $300 million holding company credit facility with Infranity to accelerate utility-scale battery storage and renewable energy projects across its U.S. portfolio.
The financing will fund development, construction, acquisition, and operation of battery storage and solar projects. Its structure allows Lydian to draw on the value of operating and construction-ready assets while keeping ownership of projects that can deliver long-term value.
"Closing this facility is an important milestone for Lydian."
Founded in 2023 and backed by Excelsior Energy Capital, Lydian has assembled approximately 6 gigawatts of projects across the U.S. Its portfolio includes operating assets, construction-ready projects, and projects still in development.

"The transaction is underpinned by a portfolio of high-quality contracted projects and a strong pipeline of energy infrastructure assets developed and owned by Lydian."
The credit facility also gives Lydian more flexibility to move projects from development into construction as electricity demand and grid modernization accelerate.
"It gives Lydian efficient, scalable capital to grow its portfolio as demand for reliable, domestically produced power continues to rise."
Infranity manages approximately €15 billion in assets for institutional investors. Lydian’s backer, Excelsior Energy Capital, closed its second fund at slightly more than $1 billion in 2025, following a $504 million first flagship fund in 2020.
Akin Gump provided legal counsel to Lydian on the financing, while Eversheds Sutherland represented Infranity.
