HOUSTON - NASA has awarded Conti Federal Services, LLC, a $300 million Johnson Space Center Multiple Award Construction Contract (JMACC). The contract positions the federal construction and design-build firm to play a key role in maintaining and modernizing critical infrastructure at NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas, as well as the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

The three-year JMACC provides NASA with a flexible contracting framework to address evolving facility needs. Task orders under the contract will cover a range of projects, including facility renovations, utility upgrades, equipment installations, and other mission-critical infrastructure improvements.

"Johnson Space Center has long been at the forefront of technological innovation and scientific advancement, helping shape the future of human space exploration", said Pete Ceribelli, Chief Executive Officer of Conti Federal. "We are honored to support NASA's mission and bring our experience delivering complex federal infrastructure projects under accelerated schedules to help maintain and modernize the facilities that support astronaut training, engineering development, and mission readiness."

Supporting NASA's Legacy in Space Exploration

The Johnson Space Center, established in 1961 as the Manned Spacecraft Center and later renamed in honor of President Lyndon B. Johnson, has served as the hub for U.S. human spaceflight programs for over six decades. Spanning 1,620 acres, the facility is home to Mission Control and remains a vital center for astronaut training and operational support for space exploration.

As part of the JMACC contract, Conti Federal will leverage its extensive global experience in delivering mission-critical projects for federal agencies. The company is no stranger to large-scale infrastructure work, having previously executed projects under several other notable contracting vehicles, including the $15 billion NAVFAC INDO Pacific DBMACC, the $495 million BENELUX DE MATOC, and the $495 million USACE Honolulu MATOC.

Contract Duration and Outlook

The JMACC contract is active through 2029, providing a framework for ongoing and future upgrades to NASA's facilities. Conti Federal's contributions aim to bolster NASA's operational capabilities and ensure that the infrastructure supporting vital aerospace research and development remains state-of-the-art.

For over a century, Conti Federal has built a reputation for delivering complex and secure projects, particularly for U.S. federal clients. The company continues to emphasize its core values of safety, integrity, and compliance as it partners with NASA to support its pioneering work in space exploration.

"We are honored to support NASA's mission", Ceribelli emphasized, highlighting the alignment between Conti Federal's expertise and NASA's infrastructure needs.

This latest contract underscores NASA's commitment to maintaining advanced facilities as it continues to lead in human space exploration and scientific innovation.
