Promera said September 9, 2026, that it has expanded into Europe through the acquisitions of Formula Facilities Services Ltd. and Critical Area Cleaning Ltd., adding operations in the UK and Ireland as the company builds out its international data center services platform.
The Charlotte, N.C.- and London-based company said the two businesses give it contamination-control capabilities covering data center projects from pre-construction through live operations in two major European markets. The move follows Promera’s expansion into Asia through Data Clean Asia in Singapore, extending its reach across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Promera said Formula and CAC together establish its UK and Ireland platform, supporting customers from construction and commissioning through ongoing operations.
According to the company, Formula provides ongoing contamination-control and critical-environment maintenance services to operational data centers and has long-term relationships with colocation and facility-management customers. CAC provides contamination-control services before and after construction for new data center facilities, working with Tier 1 general contractors on hyperscale and colocation build sites, with a focus on white space maintenance and contamination control.
Promera said the acquisitions strengthen its ability to support hyperscaler clients globally as they expand AI and cloud infrastructure across Europe and other international markets. The company also said contamination control is becoming increasingly important as data centers grow larger, denser, and more operationally complex.

Promera also appointed Jim Harding as Managing Director, International. Harding, who has served on Promera's Board of Directors for the past 18 months, will oversee the company’s international operations and work to accelerate growth across Europe and Asia.
Based in the United Kingdom, Harding brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, and commercial real estate, according to Promera. Most recently, he was Managing Director for Europe at Colovore, where he led the company’s European market entry. Earlier, he spent a decade at CBRE and ultimately served as Global President of Data Center Solutions, leading a data center facilities services business supporting operations across more than 700 facilities in 50 countries.

Promera said Martin Glennon and Jack Rowley will join the company and continue leading Formula and CAC operations, reporting to Harding.

Promera is backed by Angeles Equity Partners. Alston & Bird acted as legal counsel to Promera on the transactions, and Portman Partners acted as buy-side advisors to Promera on the Formula transaction. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
