Willdan gets go-ahead for 643 MW in energy projects

Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) has received limited notices to proceed with engineering and procurement for substation and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects totaling 643 MW in capacity.

The projects span CA, TX and IL, covering infrastructure for a datacenter, renewable energy and battery storage. The notices include:

• A transformer substation for a 100 MW datacenter in CA.
• A 75 MW BESS in TX.
• A transformer substation for 300 MW of renewables in TX.
• A transformer substation for 88 MW of renewables in IL.
• A transformer substation for 80 MW of renewables in IL.
