So the issue isn’t just job ads or applicant flow. The harder part is finding people who’ve already done this kind of work.
The hardest-to-fill jobs sit right on the critical path. That includes project managers, superintendents, MEP managers, and commissioning leaders.
In mission-critical construction, MEP managers with the ability to coordinate electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage scopes across a large campus are in short supply. The same goes for commissioning managers and engineers. Their work comes late in the project, and there’s not much room to push it back or swap in someone without the right background.
