How is an Electrical Superintendent different from a Superintendent?

The Superintendent runs the whole building — all trades, site logistics, the master schedule. The Electrical Superintendent runs the electrical scope inside it: gear, distribution, tray, terminations, testing and energization, and the electricians and subs who do the work. On industrial and mission-critical builds they are separate seats, and the Electrical Superintendent usually reports to the General Superintendent or the Electrical Manager.

How is an Electrical Superintendent different from a Mechanical Superintendent?

The Mechanical Superintendent owns piping, HVAC, chillers, and process mechanical. The Electrical Superintendent owns power. On a data center or fab they sit side by side and fight over the same ceiling space, so we screen for candidates who have coordinated tray, duct and pipe routing through BIM clash reviews rather than in the field.

Do you require a Master Electrician license?

Not by default.
